The job is suitable for a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or a highly experienced Paralegal with genuine ability and proven experience. Proven ability in training junior staff would be a bonus, although it's not essential.
So, if you are a confident, well-presented, friendly and approachable Litigation Lawyer with excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.
Your salary will be determined by your experience and billing prospects. This will be discussed more fully during interview. It is likely that your starting salary will be in the range £40,000 to £60,000, plus benefits and pension.
You will be joining a team of 3 litigation lawyers dealing with a variety of commercial and civil litigation. It does not involve dealing with personal injury and medical negligence work (2 other experienced solicitors deal with that work exclusively).
The job will broadly replace the existing caseload of 2 lawyers - with the current caseload split broadly as follows:
The mix of both work and experience can be changed so the roles can be built around the successful candidates.
The jobs are currently based in Salisbury office but can alternatively be located in either Amesbury or Fordingbridge branch offices.
Full or Part Time?
Ideally, both jobs are full-time. The team is far from short of enquiries and new work. However we are happy to consider part-time working for the right candidate.
Head of the Litigation Team
Depending on the candidate, a position as head of the litigation team is available as part of this role.
Developing additional niche work
The client is keen to develop further niche areas where genuinely specialist areas of law can be developed to completely outshine the opposition regionally and even nationwide.
If you have a niche area of law you have developed or would like to develop in addition to the existing workload, we would love to talk to you about it.
Flexible working is offered - many of the lawyers routinely work from home.
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors, Legal Executives and very experienced Paralegals.
Prompt applications are recommended as the Client is keen to fill this position.
