About Eversheds Sutherland:
Eversheds Sutherland represents the combination of two firms with a shared culture and commitment to client service excellence. Increasing globalization has changed the nature of business. Our lawyers around the globe are united by our vision, values and understanding of our clients’ businesses and their needs. They provide legal advice of the highest quality across our 63 offices in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
We consider every opportunity and issue with the same energy and creative, proactive approach. This can involve developing efficient structures for business transactions, devising novel case strategies in litigation and being at the forefront of new legal developments. We also offer a unique project management approach that enables us to deliver complex, multi-jurisdictional legal services through a single point of contact, providing efficiency and certainty for our clients.
Our Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme allows you to become a fully qualified solicitor through a six-year programme of work-based learning and part-time study.
The apprenticeship is designed to cater to your professional development. We understand that entering the legal profession without any experience might be daunting. Therefore, we make sure that you start in a support role to help you understand the various processes taking place in your department.
You will then progress into legal research, drafting documents and directly supporting the solicitors in your team. Your contribution to the team will be valued from the beginning. There is no set time scale on when you progress to different roles; it will be natural and according to your own development within the firm.
Over the six years, you will study and complete your law degree. The course will cover all the key modules you would expected from an LLB (Hons) Law degree. These include modules of contract, tort, criminal and many more. Your course is delivered through a blend of online tutorials and face-to-face sessions.
Skills and experience:
Candidates looking to apply must have five GCSEs grade A-C including Maths and English and BBB at A-Level (excluding General Studies) or 120 UCAS points (or predicted).
Candidates should also have strong communication and organisational skills.
