Legal Secretary – Property Support

We are seeking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join our busy, successful and award-winning Property Support Unit.

The role involves providing an important secretarial and administrative support to the Property Support Unit, to help ensure a first class legal service is provided to our clients.

This will involve working independently as well within a team environment across all our property support teams, which include planning, construction and property litigation.

On a daily basis key activities will include audio and copy typing of documents and using a variety of systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

You will also be responsible for preparing and producing emails, letters and documents using prepared templates and ensuring timescales are met.

You will be required to producing bills and other relevant financial information/reports as required.

Duties will also include managing team diaries including arranging meetings, booking rooms and arranging travel and accommodation where required. This will include support with client meetings as appropriate.

There will also be an occasional requirement to provide support to other secretaries both within property support and other units.

Our ideal candidate must be familiar with all aspects of secretarial work, and ideally, have previous experience within a relevant area of Property support work.

You must have proven IT skills, in particular, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and be proficient with its advanced features such as styles, automatic and outline numbering, track changes etc. Knowledge of Excel is also desirable.

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in their spelling and grammar and take personal pride in producing work of high quality.

It is essential to have a strong commitment to client care and to providing a friendly and helpful service to colleagues and to be able to build a strong rapport with clients and other business contacts.

You must have a professional approach to work and enjoy a busy workload. You will need to demonstrate initiative, be proactive, possess good organisational skills and, most importantly, you will enjoy working as part of a team.
