A Legal Secretary is sought to work in residential conveyancing at this Torbay law firm.

The Role:

  • As a member of the residential property secretarial team you will provide effective administrative and secretarial support to the fee earners in the team.  You will assist the fee earners with progressing residential property matters from instruction to completion.  This will include but not limited to the preparation and submission of searches, conducting searches and enquiries through the Land Registry Portal, filing SDLT returns, preparing completion work including raising cheques, completion statements, invoicing and preparing files for closing and archiving.
  • You will be expected to use a high level of self management and initiative.

The Candidate:

  • You will have previous residential conveyancing knowledge and experience gain working in the legal services profession;
  • Have a high standard of general education;
  • Possess excellent client care skills;
  • Have extensive word processing experience across a variety of business software packages;
  • Have general office administration experience, including audio typing and digital dictation;
  • Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and other professional contacts;
  • Enjoy working in an environment that is highly focused, friendly and supportive.

This is a full time permanent position that would suit a motivated, client focused and friendly legal secretary.  The firm offer a competitive salary and benefits.
