We have an opening for a Legal Secretary to join our family team in York.

A role within our busy and fast-paced Family team offers the opportunity to be involved in providing support to fee earners with a varied caseload.

The key focus of this role will be the provision of timely, efficient and highly organised support by performing the following duties;

* Digital dictation: letters, emails, statements, updating bundles and forms

* Administration including: filing, photocopying, binding, file maintenance, organising meetings and booking rooms, scanning for emailing and attaching to case management system

* File opening and closing

* Some accounts: bills and expenses

* Dealing with incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner and speaking with clients

* Proactive diary management to include anticipating future demands of team members, travel arrangements and actions required.

* Checking emails

You will also on occasion be acting as the first point of contact for enquiries. Therefore, excellent customer service skills are required along with the ability to put people at ease during sometimes emotional and challenging situations. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also key, as you will liaise on a daily basis with a varied range of stakeholders from private individuals and other professionals.
