Venn Group is urgently looking to recruit several interim legal research contracts negotiation managers for contracted assignments in a prestigious London University, based in Central London.

These are temporary and ongoing positions with the opportunity to become permanent in time.

The successful candidates will be undertaking very interesting work with UK research councils, government departments, industry, commerce, charities, CROs and research foundations.

You *must* have recent experience working in a University and or research organisation and have good knowledge of research agreements relating to collaborative research, doctorial studentships, sub contracts, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, memoranda of understanding, data sharing and loan agreements.

In-depth knowledge of key research contract topics including intellectual property, performance, publication, confidentiality, VAT, warranties and indemnities will be essential.

The day to day duties of the university research contract manager will include, but are not limited to:

• Drafting and negotiating research and research related agreements including multi-party collaboration, collaboration agreements, studentships, sub-contracts, MTAs, NDA/CDA, data sharing agreements, service agreements and reviewing and negotiating grant terms and conditions

• Experience of identifying and addressing potential down-side risks in conducting research and with the negotiation and performance of associated research contracts

• Ability to prioritise and manage a large, complex workload, taking ownership of tasks, managing and responding to shifting priorities, progressing numerous contracts at any one time

 • Ability to foster a co-operative working environment, working as part of a team whilst managing an individual case load

This position would be ideal for committed and dedicated contract managers and negotiators who are looking to challenge themselves within a collegiate and friendly team environment.

If you have had no direct University experience you must be confident in your contracts background and ideally have dealt with research contracts in industry.
