PA/ Legal Secretary to Managing Partner

Full - time (Maternity Cover)

The PA/ Legal Secretary to Managing Partner Role

The PA/ Legal Secretary reports directly into the Managing Partner

Key responsibilities of Legal Secretary include:

  • Typing up dictation as well as editing, proofing and formatting documents
  • Managing all new client documentation and the administration of opening and closing files
  • Maintaining an effective and ordered filing system for allocated cases
  • Managing archiving and storage collection
  • Preparing of client invoicing and managing banking slips
  • Assisting clients with updates when Managing Partner is not available
  • Processing incoming and outgoing email, mail etc.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and the firm’s policies in general
  • Managing a busy work diary

The Ideal PA/Legal Secretary to Managing Partner

As a PA/ Legal Secretary it is essential you can demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

  • Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
  • Competence in Microsoft Office products and accounting software programmes
  • Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

It is also desirable you can demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of Proclaim
  • 5 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary
  • 2 years experience as a PA to a Director/ Managing Partner
