Role: Legal Cashier

Locations: - Bolton

Salary: £22K - £30K - dependent on skills / experience

 

Ideally you have a strong legal accounts background - (preferably 4+ years).

Our Client is a multi-disciplinary firm of solicitors with offices in Bolton specialising in property amongst other areas of law. They bring an entrepreneurial approach to traditional areas of law, whilst maintaining an outstanding level of customer service and accessibility for all of their clients.

A large proportion of their work comes from repeat business and word of mouth which bears testament to their professional and effective service. They have a number of Qualified Solicitors and Licensed Conveyancers who are specialists in property work bringing skill, experience and knowledge to any transaction. They advise small and large businesses and work with many estate agents and are registered on the panels of most major lenders. Their services include sales and purchase transactions, remortgage, land acquisition and development, property transfer, buy to let transactions and lease agreements as well as other property matters.

JOINING THEM OFFERS YOU AN EXCITING AND DEVELOPING CAREER ROLE

Due to their continued expansion, they require an experienced Legal Cashier.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-regarded Law Firm in a location easily commutable by car or public transport.

Conveyancing

  • To monitor the client bank account in readiness for daily completion allocating and posting monies accurately and timely to the correct matters in line with the SRA rules.
  • Ensure payment request are recorded in line with the completion statements, posting completion packs up ensuring bills and ledgers zero down.
  • Checking and calculating mortgage redemptions and apportionments.
  • Making timely and accurate payments in line with deadlines given.
  • Liaising with the conveyancing department clearly and completing any queries.
  • Posting up land registry statements, searches , aml checks to the correct matters.
  • Billing
  • Referral fees
  • Posting all transfers and actioning on the bank line

Immigration and Family Department

  • To deal with all money in and out of the client account allocating to the correct ledgers
  • Processing disbursement payments
  • Monthly billing for each department
  • Ledger queries.

 Daily/Monthly/Quarterly Duties

  • Office Suppliers, posting, coding, processing
  • Direct debits
  • Client account and Office Accounts Bank reconciliations
  • Posting all bills/credit notes –transferring monies on ledgers and matching entries on bankline.
  • Interbank transfers
  • VAT movement
  • VAT Q submissions
  • Month end
  • Year End
  • Liaising with Auditors and Accountants and payroll dept
  • Database management and reporting.
