Legal Cashier

A leading law firm in Manchester are currently looking to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier to work as a Sole Legal Cashier for the firm. You will be working within a modern and very friendly firm who have an excellent staff retention.

The firm will offer home working once training/probationary period is complete.

Working hours - 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break

Duties include

• Weekly bank account reconciliations
• Checking the bank for any incoming payments
• Raising and sending invoices to clients/opening new client files
• Updating all client files (fees screen) with agreed payment schedules, invoice details and payments received
• Acknowledging all payments received from clients
• Checking the debtors list monthly and reporting any outstanding invoices to Management to be investigated and/or credited if advised to do so
• Manage and respond to all emails received into the Accounts inbox
• Maintenance of nominal codes and purchase accounts
• Processing all nominal and disbursement invoices adhering to payment terms
• Sending remittance advice
• Checking, dealing with and reporting any office credit balances
