Team structure The IT department consists of 5 roles comprising; IT Help Desk Team, Technical Support
Team including legal application support expertise and an Infrastructure/Projects team. The

team is located in both London and Hong Kong and maintains daily contact between offices.

This role will report to the IT Infrastructure Projects Manager. Purpose of the role To own, maintain and provide support leadership for the Firm's legal information systems. To
maintain technical underpinnings to the legal information systems. To grow awareness and

understanding of related systems and technical architecture. Main responsibilities Ownership  To be the 'owner' of the Firm's document management, enterprise search and legal
information systems – to be the main contact in respect of deploying, developing,

maintaining the systems whilst providing support leadership and operating business

continuity, change management and release management processes.  To maintain the Firm's systems in line with ISO2700 and Cyber Essentials Plus
requirements – to manage and deliver projects in respect of upgrades, maintenance,

capacity management, system performance and measurement, in conjunction with

relevant vendors and consultants where appropriate.  To lead projects in respect of upgrades to systems, including access via remote
desktop and mobile applications, including as part of office expansion or office move

projects, in conjunction with relevant vendors and consultants where appropriate.  To contribute to the roadmap for continuous improvement, innovation, evolution, and
suitable replacement when/where necessary, of the systems.  To standardise and globalise the systems taking into account both global and regional
needs.  To deliver solutions that meet the current and future needs of the Firm given the
growth, agility, availability and performance that the Firm requires.  To contribute to the budgeting and accounting processes to maintain and evolve the
systems in a responsible and innovative way Maintenance and support  To develop a very detailed understanding of the components that make up the
systems, their purpose and their capacity and performance levels to provide a solid

basis for high performing systems.  To maintain the catalogue and configuration management process for the systems.  To proactively maintain version levels for the systems.  To lead and provide specific, technical support for the systems, in conjunction with
relevant vendors and consultants where appropriate.  To grow an awareness and understanding of the related systems, architecture and
processes across the SH technology estate, including integrations between systems. Operational guidance  To contribute to operational handover / service introduction documentation and
training material, in conjunction with the IT Training team, to the IT team as

deployments and upgrades dictate.

 To contribute to guidance for the IT Team and the Firm as a whole on best practice
for administration and use of the systems. General support  To provide rd line infrastructure support when required in-line with a) the needs of
the Firm and b) the remit of the team.  To gain awareness of and provide support for other systems such as our chosen
server and storage operating systems.  Provide presence and cover within standard working hours for the team, currently
8am to 7pm.  Ability to work in a flexible way in respect of works required outside of normal
working hours.  Ability to cover out of hours (on-call) support on a rota basis.  Ability to travel to the Firms' offices when required. Education and experience required  Previous technical experience in: o iManage Work (Worksite, Filesite) Recommind, Research Monitor and related

products and other legal information applications in use by the Firm o Microsoft SQL Server - advanced o Performance and capacity management tools  Previous experience in a professional services firm / partnership structure  Experience in preparing documentation and guidance for others  Experience in related supplier management, with vendors and resellers  Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure e.g. server storage networks. Attributes / skills required  Service focused attitude and professional manner, appropriate for a commercial law
firm.  Confident and clear communication (verbal and written) with people at all levels of
the business hierarchy.  Able to respond quickly to requests, manage time effectively, and work under
pressure.  Proactive nature, hardworking, organised, able to structure own work and work solo
when required.  Able to work well as part of a team and follow direction.  Able to use initiative and make suggestions to change processes where required.  High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
