About the Role
In this role you will be taking over an existing litigated caseload and as such it is essential that you have experience managing your own caseload of litigated RTA claims from inception through to settlement. Daily duties will include:
Dealing with a high volume caseload of RTA Fast Track Litigated claims, following Minster Law best practise, in order to progress your claims through to settlement.
Assess liability and quantum to include reviewing medical reports and researching and obtaining relevant case law.
Negotiate with third parties to ensure we receive the best settlement figures for our clients in a proactive and timely manner, identify litigation opportunities where appropriate.
Drafting schedules of special damages and assessing suitable-awards for compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenity, and other general damages.
Drafting Court proceedings, dealing with allocation questionnaires, adhering to court directions and timescales, preparing relevant documents for disclosure, submitting evidence and instructing Counsel/other appropriate experts as required.
It is essential you have experience managing your own caseload of Litigated RTA claims and good understanding of the CPR and litigation processes. You must also be an excellent negotiator with strong communication skills. To succeed in this role you will have a customer centric approach to your work and be committed to achieving the right outcome for each of our clients.
Ideally you'll be a qualified solicitor or CILEx but consideration will be given to those who have experience handling a ligated caseload. You will be a team player who acts as a role model to your colleagues, working together to achieve business and team goals maintaining a positive attitude, self-motivator and someone who can use their initiative.
