Gillespie Macandrew has an excellent opportunity for a legal administrator to join our established Private Client team based in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will provide a varied and comprehensive administrative support to the Private Client team in a competent and efficient manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

Some of the key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To efficiently produce accurately typed documentation including letters, faxes, reports, presentations and specialist forms and documents
  • Assist with the administrative elements for the opening of new clients including Client Load-up Forms, Letters of Engagement, Terms of Business and Anti Money Laundering
  • Preparation of draft fee notes including drafting narratives and related letters
  • To assist with relevant Will review projects and Power of Attorney administration as necessary
  • To support the team with finance administration
  • To produce reports and client information from case management system
  • Request, prepare and order searches from Registers of Scotland
  • Supporting diary management for team

The role requires a highly motivated and pro-active team player with the ability to prioritise a high volume workload to an exceptional standard.  The successful applicant will possess excellent attention to detail skills and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships. It is also important for the candidate to have proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have experience in a similar administrator/secretarial role within the professional services sector.
