We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Administrator to join our Child Law team in Lincoln.

A role within our busy and fast-paced Child Law team offers the opportunity to be involved in providing support to fee earners with a varied caseload including both private and public work, and domestic abuse cases.

The key focus of this role will be the provision of timely, efficient and highly organised administrative support to the fee earners within the team, with tasks including diary management, filing, managing day to day emails and other correspondence, and liaising with experts, clients and other professionals.

A key responsibility will include the management of legal aid administration including online applications and costings. This high volume activity is critical for the success of the team and as such the ability to manage a large volume of work, whilst maintaining efficiency and accuracy is fundamental for success in the role.

You will also be acting as the first point of contact for enquiries. Therefore, excellent customer service skills are required along with the ability to put people at ease during sometimes emotional and challenging situations. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also key, as you will liaise on a daily basis with a varied range of stakeholders from private individuals, guardians, and other professionals (such as legal counsel).

Previous administration experience is required (ideally within a legal setting) and the role may especially suit an experienced legal secretary or legal administrator seeking their next move.
