We are currently recruiting for a firm who offer a wide range of legal services to individuals and businesses throughout Yorkshire and beyond. Due to continued growth they are now looking for a Legal Accounts Assistant to join their firm on a permanent full time basis.

The successful Accounts Assistant should have previous experience in the legal sector with this experience being preferred but not essential. The candidate will work alongside the accounts supervisor and be part of the accounts team. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone looking to progress their career as an Accounts Assistant.

Candidate duties:
  • Assist Accounts Supervisor
  • Issue of cheques
  • Posting of ‘chits’ relating to client account transactions
  • Daily bankings
  • Verification of Completion Statements
  • Checking of bills
  • Arrange for client monies to be transferred to the Undesignated Deposit Accounts
  • Inputting of transactions onto online banking system
  • Filing and archiving of Accounts Department records
  • Payment of office invoices purchase ledger
  • End of day routine and reports
  • Reconcile land registry, chancel & searches accounts etc
  • Card payments
  • Helping with account enquiries from both clients and staff
