We are currently looking for people to teach on our Real Estate module.

We are looking to recruit an additional tutor; a qualified solicitor or barrister with a genuine passion for quality and excellence, who can demonstrate successful legal practice experience. You will enjoy being challenged (by students and course content in equal measure) and be able to adapt to the different learning styles of students and methods of course delivery. You will be eager to share your expertise and become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience within our campuses, primarily teaching on our LPC, GDL and LLB programmes.

Please note that classes are also routinely delivered over weekends and tutors are expected to work flexibly within these parameters.

This post is based at our Guildford campus, however the successful candidate must be willing to teach for part of the week at our Reading campus.

To apply for this role it is essential you have a 2:1 Degree in any subject (or equivalent) and be a qualified Lawyer (either a Solicitor or Barrister) in England and Wales.

We offer an excellent range of competitive benefits including a generous annual leave allowance, private medical scheme, contributory pension scheme, life assurance, training and qualifications, and travel loans. As part of the tutor development programme, we will also support you to study for a recognised teaching qualification within your first 18 months of employment.

Who are we?

The University of Law (ULaw) is one of the UK’s largest law schools. With an impressive history going back to 1876, we employ c680 staff and attract over 7000 students to study on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. ULaw has an outstanding reputation as a full service legal and educational training specialist, operating from eleven campuses throughout England with additional global reach through online and face to face provision.

Our employability statistics are enviably high (96% of our 2016 full time LPC students secured employment/further education within 9 months of graduation) which is reflected in ULaw’s reputation for producing lawyers and barristers with genuine business and commercial acumen. We also deliver an LLB which has received outstandingly strong reviews in the National Student Survey.
