Provide world-class learning support.

Support the Knowledge & Learning function to deliver L&D needs focussed on clients and practice that is: relevant, excellent, consistent, integrated, global, commercial and modern.

Support the delivery of projects.

Credible learning 'go to' contact on personal SME topics.

Deliver cost-efficient, speedy learning solutions.

Facilitate on courses within personal portfolio.

Credible relationships across K&L and HR. Connected, 'sought-out' and empowered.

Maintain close connection with the L&D People Services team to continuously knowledge-share best-practice.

Maintain close connection with the Global Learning Technologies team. Run L&D reports.

Be flexible in supporting the GLTT team and L&D People Services team.

Demonstrates commitment to own personal development and continuous competence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business-facing role:

* Provide administrative and project assistance for the K&L team. Share knowledge gleaned from that area with the wider team.
* Attend relevant business meetings. Hot-desks. Is visible.
* Identifies synergies and connections with other parts of the business.
* Wins colleagues trust and respect.
* Acts as key contact and organizer of several large training programmes
* Has oversight of relevant training programmes — ensuring effective delivery of strategy through L&D support.

2. L&D team support:

Provide administrative support for the K&L function as a whole, including helping to administer L&D team activities. This involves:

* Updating intranet sites and linked resources.
* Research on best-practice and SME areas.
* Ensuring good document management processes are in place and adhered to across the L&D team and LSS teams.
* Answering initial queries regarding L&D.
* Champion the K&L function.

3. Population-facing role:

* Acts as key contact for several populations. Is the 'go to' link between L&D and these colleagues.
* Attends relevant meetings and focus groups.
* Demonstrates understanding of the transition into those populations, development within them, and promotion out of them.
* Articulates the work those populations do.
* Identifies key synergies with other populations.
* Wins the trust and respect of those populations.

4. SME role:

* Know the key trends and theories for allocated SME areas.
* Know the key books and digital resources.
* Know the internal and external experts (including key research organisations).
* Know how the learning curriculum (fee earner, business teams and secretarial) cover the SME topic.
* Consult for the learning team on SME areas.

5. Learning Management System:

* Support the GLTT team, and use the LMS to produce reports on an ad hoc basis for to support the Learning team

6. Team role:

Delivers to the overall team in a way that enhances the size, shape, functioning, performance, development, morale and well-being:

* Supporting others.
* Organisation & attendance at team-build activities.
* Role-modelling.
* Buddying.
* Running team meetings.
* Liaison between teams within L&D/K&L/HR and wider.
* Ambassadorial work.

7. Continuous competence:

* Reflect on your performance to identify any personal learning needs.
* Plan how you will address your learning needs, identifying suitable learning activities and how you will carry them out.
* Evaluate how the learning intervention has met the learning need you identified, and how you can incorporate the new knowledge and skills into your role.
* Keep a record of how you have carried out this process.

Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications Required:

Location

Must be able to travel and work from other Linklaters office locations, as required.

Education/Qualification: GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent. Further qualifications such as secretarial course, A levels or equivalent.

Practical Experience: Experience of working in a Professional Services environment. Experience of working with people of different levels.

Office Skills: Proficient in core MS applications. Outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills.

Commercial Skills: Interested in technological developments. Understanding of the drivers behind L&D initiatives.
