We are looking for a self-motivated lawyer to assist the MLRO with financial crime legislation compliance. The role will include developing and overseeing the firm’s KYC and CDD processes, developing policies on a range of financial crime risks including money laundering, terrorist financing, criminal finances and economic sanctions, assessing the risks arising out of particular instructions and advising the MLRO/deputy MLRO on mitigation, due diligence measures and reporting obligations where appropriate. The role requires a commitment to improving the firm. This is a new role which may develop with the individual, however, applicants should ideally be qualified solicitors with up to three years’ PQE, including some experience of risk management, compliance and financial crime legislation. Compliance professionals from other regulated sectors will be considered. The role is primarily based in the firm’s Basingstoke office although requests for location flexibility will be considered. | No agencies please
