Knowledge is one of Linklaters’ key assets and, as such, needs to be developed and exploited to generate further value for the firm.

Under the overall guidance of the Senior K&L Advisor, you will be working with the central K&L team in supporting our Client K&L, Knowledge Management and Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) work streams.

Key Dimensions

* Drafting presentations, agendas, comms and materials for K&L meetings/work
* Being a super user of the Knowledge Portal: dealing with any queries and producing statistics
* Creating monthly metrics for K&L to share in the Global K&L News
* Coordinating session on the PSL curriculum and other PSL learning events, such as the Global PSL Conference
* Assisting in the global Year in Review and Year to Come project
* Creating and maintaining intranet content, such as wiki pages, blogs, lists etc.
* Updating a range of client training and horizon scanning reports
* Generally supporting the team and getting involved with project work, where required
* Supporting client events and joining client forum meetings where appropriate
* Updating project plans for our key work streams – such as Client K&L, PSL Conference, Knowledge Management etc.

Key responsibilities and challenges

Client K&L - General

This role will:

* Update and regularly review the Value-Add Hub and Client Publication Timeline
* Regularly collate information for - and then update - a range of client training and horizon scanning reports
* Update the Client Training Database
* Add activities to Client Book on behalf of the central team
* Research ad hoc client training topics
* Help co-ordinate client training
* Join client meeting and forum meetings where needed

PLS Meetings and HR

This role will:

* Help organise the monthly London PSL meetings, draft the agenda, take minutes, co-ordinate with speakers and post on the PSL blog
* Monitor leaver and joiners reports and prepare welcome emails for new PSLs
* Ensure new PSLs are added to all relevant DLs and directories
* Organise a welcome chat for new London PSLs
* Maintain PSL/KML intranet pages
* Support on PSL comms and materials

PSL Training

This role will:

* Prepare the agenda and minutes for the PSL Training Committee meetings
* Maintain the PSL Curriculum intranet page and help organise training sessions and follow-up actions
* Work with L&D to ensure PSLs are invited to appropriate lawyer/BT curricula sessions.
* Help plan and organise the PSL induction and Global Conference
* Have a general ownership for PSL related training

Knowledge Portal

This role will:

* Work closely with Marketing
* Produce statistics to share with PSLs (this responsibility to be shared with Marketing)
* Be the first point of contact on the Knowledge Portal for K&L related queries

Year in Review and Year to Come project (YIR/YTC)

This role will:

* Design and update the Intranet page on all YIR/YTC content
* Assist with the global project and have certain responsibilities and ownership


This role will:

* Support the Senior K&L Advisor and others in the team on project work and ad hoc tasks – especially in relation to the Client Knowhow Strategy
* Support the English law workstream
* Think of ways to improve our processes and become more efficient
* Challenge and provide ideas
* Provide support to the Film & Media team and wider K&L team more generally

Education / Qualification

* GCSEs/A-levels qualified
* Law degree (Desirable)


* English

Practical experience

* Relevant experience with working in a team
* Time management and prioritisation of workload
* Able to work independently
* Experience working in a law firm (Desirable)

Office skills

* Proficient use of Microsoft Office – such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Commercial Skills

* A good degree of commercial acumen
* Ability to work with different departments and with colleagues at different levels of seniority
* An understanding of how businesses operate and make decisions
