Bindmans LLP is a successful London law firm, with a reputation for excellence and being at the cutting edge of legal developments.

Bindmans continues to be ranked by Chambers UK and The Legal 500 as one of the top firms in London and the UK for its specialist areas. We are known for achieving excellent results for clients, often in ground-breaking areas of law. We advise many different types of clients with many different legal issues. We pride ourselves on always providing the best possible service, tailored to the needs of each individual client.

Bindmans Public Inquiry Team

Bindmans has established expertise in advising and representing core participants on both statutory and non-statutory inquiries where it is essential that findings can withstand rigorous scrutiny. We are instructed by Core Participants and witnesses to ensure they receive full support and robust representation and that the inquiry will be efficient, fair, open and accountable. We have recently acted for large groups of Core Participants at the Leveson Inquiry into the culture, practices and ethics of the British press following the News International phone hacking scandal, the Undercover Policing Inquiry and the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry. As well as acting for individuals and families, we also act for organisational clients, such as NGOs and campaigning organisations.

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and capable junior solicitor (0-3 years PQE) to work with the team. The role will consist of assisting with case preparation, legal research, document management, processing evidence, client care, witness contact and attending at court and conferences.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have experience in some or all of the following areas of law: actions against the state, housing law, inquests and public inquiries. The successful applicant will need to work well within a team, and be able to take responsibility when working individually.

Equality & Diversity

Bindmans LLP is an equal opportunities employer, committed to increasing diversity in our firm and our wider profession. Applications from candidates, who are BME, have a disability or who are from a less privileged background are particularly encouraged.
