Junior Costs Draftsman

Job Purpose:

 

We are seeking a Costs Draftsman with experience in drafting Bills, who would like to expand their skill set in relation to preparing Budgets and dealing with other aspects of Costs Management. Training will be provided so as to allow you to take on a specialist Budget drafting role within the department. With our team expanding rapidly we have an opportunity to join the Costs Management department. As a member of the Costs Management Team within Pure Legal Costs Consultants you need to be dedicated, motivated with the ability to organise your workload to meet deadlines.

 You will report to the Head of Costs Management within the Drafting Department and assist in delivering a first class service to our customers both within and outside of the Pure Business Group.

Responsibilities:

 

·         Preparing Precedent H in Multi Track injury cases and Budgets in relation to other areas of civil litigation with supervision and training from more senior colleagues.

·         Dealing with negotiations and Precedent R following appropriate training.

·         Advising clients on all aspects of costs management.

 

Experience:

  • Proven experience of drafting Bills.
  • Knowledge of Proclaim
  • Excel literate to a good standard
  • Working effectively within a team

 

Personal Qualities:

  • A desire to learn and develop skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organisational and planning skills
  • A practical and flexible approach to work
  • Good general IT skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to use initiative and solve problems

 

Compensation:

  • Basic Salary Competitive
