Arnold & Porter is seeking an international associate or international legal consultant for its anti-corruption investigations & compliance practice area in our Shanghai office. International associate candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience with investigations or a related field such as litigation or arbitration. International legal consultant is an entry level position and work experience is not required. Experience with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act is preferred. This position will focus on internal investigations under the FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and related legal regimes, as well as the development of compliance policies to prevent employee misconduct.

Ideal candidates for this position will have prior law firm and/or government experience involving internal investigations, compliance programs, and/or white collar litigation in connection with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act or other anti-corruption regulations.

Qualified candidates must have excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication in both English and Mandarin Chinese, work well in teams, and excellent academic credentials and references. Candidates should have a JD, LLM or equivalent degree. Candidates for the International Associate role should have a foreign bar qualification. Chinese bar qualifications are a plus but not required.
