We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Indirect Tax Services group. You will be working in our middle market team that covers a broad sector of the market including the FTSE 101 to 350, other listed businesses, privately owned businesses, real estate, high net worth individuals and the not for profit sector. You would be joining a successful and growing team.
About the role
We are essentially a consulting business and little of our work is routine. Projects range from one-off initiatives providing bespoke solutions to specific problems, working collaboratively with other specialisms within PwC to deliver a joined up solution to the client, through to advising UK clients on their international VAT obligations. One thing is guaranteed: the indirect tax practice, and the mid-tier in particular, offers a wide variety of opportunities.
A proven track record in advising clients from a range of sectors and industries on complex Valued Added Tax (VAT) issues.
A motivated, proactive individual that has the ability to build and maintain their own client relationships and to win new business with minimal oversight from Partners and Directors.
To be able to assist in the development of VAT technical offerings and to easily disseminate complex messages in a manner that is easy to understand.
The ability to manage a client team and to support the development of junior staff.
Someone who will respond well to being encouraged to shape and actively manage their career development through involvement in a broad variety of work.
Strong interpersonal and team working skills. Excellent project management skills.
A commercial, client service driven approach to your work

The skills we look for in future employees
All our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support us in delivering our business strategy. This is important to the work we do for our business, and our clients. These skills and behaviours make up our global leadership framework, ‘The PwC Professional’ and are made up of five core attributes; whole leadership, technical capabilities, business acumen, global acumen and relationships.
We work in a changing world which offers great opportunities for people with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We seek to attract and employ the best people from the widest talent pool, as well as those who reflect the diverse nature of our society. And we aim to encourage a culture where people can be themselves and be valued for their strengths. Creating value through diversity is what makes us strong as a business and as an organisation with an increasingly agile workforce, we're open to flexible working arrangements where appropriate.
