Cathedral Appointments has an exceptional opportunity for a Corporate or Commercial Solicitor who is looking to make the move in-house and join a UK leading FinTech start-up based in Exeter. This role would suit a Solicitor who is experienced with dealing with corporate transactions, commercial contracts and compliance matters with specific knowledge surrounding company finance.

Responsibilities:

Managing corporate documentation, including Articles of Association and Shareholder Agreements required by clients

Compliance matters, including the review of new products to ensure compliance with law and regulation

Commercial responsibilities, including contribution to the structure and documentation in relation to international joint ventures.

Preparing reports and delivering regular updates on the status of work

Taking ownership of key client relationships

 

Requirements:

You will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 1 years' corporate or commercial experience gained in a leading law firm and/or in-house. Talented newly qualified Solicitors may also be considered

You will ideally have experience of dealing with corporate finance, corporate governance and company secretarial work

You will be experienced in handling multiple transactions and a varied workload

Experience working on international agreements and managing international compliance projects, including managing legal arrangements and local advice from outside of the UK is desirable

 Good mathematical and Excel skills are important as is an understanding of share cap tables

The successful candidate will be thorough in their approach, have excellent communication skills, be analytical, collaborative, resilient and adaptable
