One of the ways in which we're responding to the market is through continued investment in our Legal Solutions Centre; a team of solicitors, chartered legal executives, paralegals, management information specialists and legal project managers, capable of providing support to the wider business on a regular and ongoing basis, for high volume projects or secondment opportunities, and providing some services directly to clients.
One of those services is our "GCSolutions"; a flexible approach to supporting our clients with much needed lawyer resource. For those clients with resource challenges, we've developed a solution that will enable us to provide them with lawyers for short and long-term secondments or more project led initiatives. We've a number of fantastic opportunities to work with some exceptional in-house teams across a range of locations. But unlike some other flexible lawyer resourcing business models, we're looking to remove some of the risk for you by offering permanent contracts within our business and a salary. As a member of the Womble Bond Dickinson team you'll be fully integrated into our business with all the benefits associated with being part of a transatlantic law firm, but your time will predominately be spent remotely, in-house or at home, seconded directly with our clients.
However, you'll be one of our people and through induction, catch-ups, away-days and training we'll ensure that you're kept up to date with what is going on in the wider business and that you feel a part of the relevant specialist or sector team here.
What are we looking for?
We've already identified a number of a great secondments and we're keen to speak to commercial lawyers who are available for any opportunities in and around London and the South-East.
You'll be an experienced and technically proficient lawyer who's had extensive exposure to quality work in your chosen specialism, ideally from a large regional or city firm or with extensive in-house Counsel experience. You can add real value through first class technical, commercial advice and are capable of delivering business and sector insight. You'll be directly advising the business you're seconded to, reporting to GCs and senior management alike, so your ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships is absolutely critical to success. It's possible that you'll have spent time in-house, either in a permanent role or on secondment from another law firm. In any event, it's vital that you have a thorough understanding of the risk and financial reporting obligations that comes with working in-house.
