Gherson Solicitors is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Immigration, Asylum & Human Rights Solicitor to join our Complex Litigation team.

 

We are niche Immigration firm in Mayfair. In addition to our Private and Corporate Immigration work, we are also instructed on Complex Immigration matters and our Complex Litigation Team is a highly specialized team dealing with high profile politically motivate extradition, asylum and human rights cases.

 

We are looking to recruit a qualified solicitor with at least two years post qualified experience in immigration law.

 

The successful candidate must have direct personal, experience of :

·      Asylum applications

·      Human Rights applications in immigration law

·  Immigration applications outside the rules and discretionary applications

·      A broad range of immigration applications within the rules

·      Judicial Review applications and appeals

·      A strong background in Public Law

 

To successfully secure this role you will also have the following key skills:

 

·      An excellent knowledge of Immigration Law

·      Exceptional spoken and written English

·      An ability to manage your own caseload

·      Experience of dealing with or contribution to complex cases

·      Excellent drafting skills

·      A proactive approach to business development

·      A commitment to a long-term career of working with migrants, asylum seekers, and individuals and businesses

·      Excellent client care skills

·      Have a keen eye for detail,

·      Be proactive

·      Previous extradition experience is preferred but not necessary
