Housing Paralegal, Chorley

THE FIRM

This leading Legal 500 law firm with offices nationwide is growing its established housing team based in its new Chorley office. With over 400 staff, this firm has clients within both the public and private sector. Due to an increase in workload, the team is seeking a paralegal to join its busy and dynamic team. With a bright, energetic, innovative and supportive culture, this is an exciting opportunity for a paralegal to join this forward-thinking, friendly and pragmatic team of lawyers.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to a successful increase in workload and new client wins, the firm is seeking a paralegal to assist the housing fee earners with all aspects of their caseload. Joining a busy team, you will assist with a varied caseload to include defence of housing disrepair claims, drafting and issuing the response to Letters of Claim, preparing bundles for court as well as court applications. You will be proficient in using a case management system and undertaking research.

THE REQUIREMENTS

This role would suit an experienced paralegal with at least 12 months previous legal experience working within a fast paced team. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, ability to interact professionally with clients and work as part of a team. You will ideally have previous experience as a housing paralegal; however the firm is willing to look at candidates with a strong background as a paralegal within other areas of law.
