THE OPPORTUNITY

The Graduate Recruiter will provide dedicated support to UK-based client groups and manage

the end-to-end junior talent recruitment and all associated activities, initiatives and programmes.

This role will require significant travel across the UK to the firm's 7 UK offices (located in

Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Sheffield) and Ireland, plus

universities.

The role will report into the Graduate Recruitment Manager, UK and will be a part of an industry

leading International Graduate Recruitment & Development team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Graduate Recruitment into key programmes of activity:

1. Open Days
2. First Year Insight Programme
3. Summer Internship
4. Graduate Programme

Areas of responsibility in relation to recruitment into these programmes covers the following:

* Proactive management of the candidate pipeline
* Ensuring diversity and inclusion strategic priorities are implemented within the recruitment process, including the use of contextualised screening software
* Working with the Graduate Recruitment & Development Co-ordinator to plan and execute the assessment centres (circa 8 per recruitment cycle)
* Providing candidate feedback to all candidates that attend the assessment centre stage, to both successful and unsuccessful candidates
* Working with the HR Global Service Centre team to generate offers to the successful candidates
* Screening of candidate applications
* Working with candidates to ensure reasonable adjustments are made where required
* Proactive planning and oversight to ensure hiring targets are met
* Managing the keep warm campaign to ensure that the renege rate across all programmes is minimal
* Management of bulk moves of candidates within the Applicant Tracking System

Project management of strategic programme initiatives:

* Design, planning and execution of the Open Days, First Year Insight Programme and Summer Internship, which involves the following activities:

o Planning and execution of the Buddy Programme for the Summer Internship

o Delivery of line manager training to Summer Intern line managers

o Working with practice groups and UK office locations to source roles for Summer

Interns

o Sourcing business representatives to staff all training and networking sessions

o Leading the organisation and delivery of senior leader speaker sessions

o Design and organisation of social and networking events

* Management of the Rate My Placement survey tool for all programmes

Stakeholder management:

* Proactive management of relationships with key internal stakeholders across the UK offices, including HR Business Partners, HR Centre of Excellence teams, Business Sponsor and Marketing colleagues
* Building and maintaining a strong day to day working relationship with the HR Global Service Centre team
* Ensuring all business representatives participating in graduate recruitment initiatives are fully briefed and act as ambassadors for the firm
* Relationship management of relationships with external vendors, for example diversity and inclusion organisations and campus marketing agencies

Campus marketing and social media:

* Management of social media channels (Facebook and LinkedIn)
* Working with external campus marketing agencies to ensure all marketing publications are industry leading
* Working with other members of the graduate recruitment team to conduct the annual design review of the campus marketing and attraction materials
* Management of the graduate blog on the graduate website
* Management of the Brand Manager initiative, including the sourcing and recruitment of
* Brand Managers and the management of the Brand Managers through the campus season

University engagement:

* Maintaining strong working relationships with Careers Services at the relevant UK universities
* Ensuring the firm's programmes are promoted appropriately at the UK universities under management
* Planning of and attendance at law fairs
* Planning and exection of flagship evening presentations at the relevant UK universities and offices
* Design and delivery of employability training sessions e.g presentation skills, communication skills

Other:

* Active member of International Graduate Team
* Proactive development of external network of graduate recruiters, to ensure awareness of best practice within and outside the legal industry
* Regular participant in industry events e.g. GTI Breakfast News, Institiute of Student
* Employers events, All About Law events
* Management of specific areas of the graduate recruitment budget, and proactive and timely management of the invoicing process
* Support the UK Graduate Recruitment Manager with ad-hoc data requests
* Partnering with Graduate Development colleagues to ensure a seamless transition of future graduate populations

EXPERIENCE & CHARACTERISTICS

Previous experience required:

* Knowledge and demonstrable experience of using recruitment systems (e.g. Taleo)
* Previous experience of working in a complex, matrix, global environment
* Demonstrated success of delivering change
* Knowledge of the UK academic system required, with preference for previous experience as part of a Global team
* Previous experience of end-to-end graduate recruitment cycle required (e.g. screening candidates, running Assessment Centres)
* Significant previous experience of managing data and production of reports

Previous experience preferred:

* Established working relationships with Careers Services
* Running campus diversity and inclusion initiatives
* Established member of industry networks (although not necessarily within the legal industry)
* Experience of working with an HR Global Service Centre based in another country

Skills required:

* Exceptional organisation skills
* Excellent time management skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to communicate effectively with junior (e.g. students) and senior (e.g. Business
* Sponsors) stakeholders, in both a verbal and written format
* Ability to deal with high volume of work
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage conflicting deadlines
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
* Ability to think strategically, whilst pro-actively delivering hands-on results for clients
* Desire to innovate and continually improve
* Ability to delegate work effectively to the Graduate Recruitment & Development Co-ordinator
