Latham & Watkins, a global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is seeking a German-speaking Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team in Manchester. Please note that the shift for this role will be 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

As the global outbreak of COVID-19 continues to unfold, Latham has taken precautions to help protect our people, clients, and the communities where we live and work. This includes a shift to virtual work for the majority of our lawyers and staff. This role will likely start virtually while the firm continues to evaluate the situation.

About the role

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing high quality customer service and administrative support to all clients and personnel requesting reception, facility, conference room, emergency notification and travel support services. Other key responsibilities include:

* Serving clients by determining requirements, answering inquiries, resolving problems, fulfilling requests, and maintaining the knowledge database

* Processing client enquiries on first contact where possible in an accurate and efficient manner

* Developing a strong knowledge of the firm’s facilities, services, people and locations

* Taking incoming calls from customers and providing a knowledgeable and consultative service

* Making relevant recommendations and confirming bookings based on a thorough understanding of services offered and the ability to match these to the customers’ requirements

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you:

* Are fluent in German. Working knowledge of Spanish is desired

* Thrive working in a team environment with a customer service focus

* Are a quick learner when it comes to taking on new technologies

* Exhibit well developed and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm

And have:

* Previous Customer Service experience

* The ability to take initiative and work independently

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey department procedures and objectives in a professional and tactful manner

* Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
