The Role

The successful Food Law Advisor will provide our client's members with authoritative services in the areas of regulatory affairs to provide support for both the food and drinks industry. You will maintain a high level of awareness of current UK and EU harmonised food legislation, related issues and likely developments
The provision of safe, honestly-marketed food is a legal, commercial and moral imperative. Food Law Advisers help our client's customers consistently and efficiently meet complex, demanding and shifting legal requirements.
You will answer questions from members, other clients and colleagues on the content, application and interpretation of food legislation.
You will direct a scheduled food legislation course and develop and contribute publications and events.
You will initiate new business and deliver contract services on time and within budget, and contribute to the development and delivery of research projects.
You will have graduate level qualification(s) in science, law or related subjects and extensive knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement or policy setting over at least 3 years.
