Our client has a proven track record of acting for commercial and investment banks, development finance institutions, export credit agencies, governmental institutions, project sponsors and developers, infrastructure funds, mezzanine investors and key contractors on the project development and project financing of social, transport, energy and mining infrastructure assets around the world.
Working from major business and financial centres in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, our client has detailed knowledge of a range of financing structures, including development bank financings, structured export financings, project bonds and Islamic Shari’a compliant financings and have relevant experience of generation assets (wind, solar, hydro, nuclear, gas and coal-fired), electricity transmission networks, oil and gas pipelines, storage and trading facilities, water desalination plants, mining projects, LNG terminals, petrochemical plants, roads, railways (including high-speed rail and light rail), waste to energy plants, stadiums, healthcare, defence, detention facilities and other social infrastructure assets.
Due to the nature of work and clients in this team the successful candidate is likely to be coming from a City or international firm. Although applications from other banking and finance lawyers will be considered (and those sat within Projects teams) this is a role which requires you to have some experience of financing projects in either energy (traditional and renewables), construction or transport.
