Fletchers Solicitors are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to manage all financial and reporting aspects of its Personal Injury (PI) work streams on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The Finance Business Partner will primarily be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and providing in depth reporting and analysis on PI KPIs by identifying trends, strengths and weaknesses and working with legal teams to ensure data is used effectively and appropriately.

This role requires extensive management accounting and MI experience, in addition to strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. Previous people management experience would also be beneficial, as this role will manage an Assistant Accountant. You will be responsible for their individual development in addition to managing day-to-day activities.

Previous experience of budget and financial modelling would also be advantageous, as this role is required to support the Head of Finance with quarterly revisions and annual budget setting.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for the relevant legal teams and as such the ability to communicate effectively to non-finance members is essential, as is building strong relations with our legal counterparts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Analysis and interpretation of PI data
* Production of MI packs
* Management of an Assistant Accountant
* Quarterly and annual budget forecasts
* Cash flow forecasting
* Some VAT returns & tax computations
* Supporting annual stat account preparation
* Ad hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

* CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
* Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS and pivot tables
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
