description for a Solicitor here at Stowe Family Law in Cheltenham - if you love growth, flexibility and the chance to work in a progressive, cutting edge environment - keep reading.

In family law the average Lawyer works from one fixed office, 5 days per week 9-5. Much of their time is taken up by working on a range of family law cases, but, a lot of time is taken up dealing with irrelevant enquiries, chasing bills and doing admin. In a typical day, how many hours do you actually focus on servicing your clients? And if you’re really dedicated, you might see some progression, at the firm’s pace, or not. It’s frustrating, but that’s the way Family Law has always been practiced.

Forget what you know about working within Family Law, read on.

We don’t want you to be frustrated. We want to offer you a cracking salary, a chance to work with wonderful people and the opportunity to work in a really clever way. You’ll have flexibility to work from home, or the office, whenever you like. You can arrange your days or weeks around your commitments, family and leisure activities. You’ll be able to work on Cheltenham files and from offices across the whole Midlands region; that’s more efficient and keeps you busier. We’ll give you lots of support, from secretaries to billing teams, from credit control to client care (they’re the wonderful people taking all initial enquiries ensuring new clients you speak to are actually looking for your services). You’ll have progression opportunities because we’re going to triple the size of our business in three years; while being given the guidance and training to maximise your impact.

To support out growth we’re hiring the best Lawyers to join our teams and we’re giving them support, autonomy and work-life balance. We’re arming them with new technology, more efficient frameworks and an unbeatable customer experience in an industry that needs shaking up.

Who ‘is’ Stowe Family Law?

Stowe Family Law LLP is the country's largest specialist family law firm with over 70 lawyers specialising in divorce, financial remedy and childcare across 23 offices. We’re the experts in what we do and the way we help our clients is exceptional.

In the last few years we’ve grown the business by over 150%, so now is a great time to join us, we’ve already laid the groundwork and now, we’re about to build something really special. We have big ambitions for Stowe Family Law: to serve more clients than ever before, to make Stowe the best place to work for our people, and to grow our business for the benefit of all of our stakeholders.

But, to build the UK’s leading family law practice, we need to build the best legal team in each location that the family law market has ever seen; that’s where you come in.

Your family law expertise will enable us to consistently provide the best divorce and childcare service to our clients.

But you won’t be alone. With the largest team of Lawyers in the country, we share information, we have specialists in niche areas (think teams in forensic accountancy or sharia, international or surrogacy law) and you’ll always be supported.

In exchange for this, all we ask is that you join us in our journey to tripling our client base in three-years.

Where is Stowe going?

Backed by private equity firm, Livingbridge, we’re on a mission to almost triple our client base from 2,200 clients per year to 6,500. The family law space has languished, and we want to bring client-centric innovation and the best technologies and approaches modern-day marketing has to offer to supercharge our growth and the quality of service we deliver to our clients.

Where do I fit in?

I’m glad you asked. You’ll join our close-knit Cheltenham team in Harley House reporting in to Louise our Managing Partner and you’ll be pivotal in driving the success of the office. This will involve meeting and converting new clients, leading a mix of quality cases within divorce, financial remedy andchildren, and networking to aid business development from head office (where we have a team of 10 specialists from PPC to SEO solely driving new enquiries to our offices).

We’re offering a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience, as well as in-house training and development, and freedom, flexibility and work-life balance.

Requirements

Ideally, you will have:

* Experience of working on your own caseload made up of quality divorce, financial remedy and children cases (we understand that you may be bias towards one area)
* Ambition, hunger for growth and drive to succeed and progress
* The ability to work as part of a team and region
* The ability to form strong relationships, convert new clients and deliver them exceptional results
* Resilience– our business moves quickly to be at the forefront of family law, with that comes the need for our employees to thrive in a changing environment

Benefits

What’s in it for me?

* Salary up to approx. £40,000 DoE
* 25 days holiday
* Performance and values related bonus
* Contributory pension
* BUPA Medical Cash Plan
* Discounted legal services
* 3x Death in service
* Season ticket loans
* Flexible working

What kind of person are you looking for?

If you’re the kind of person that gets excited by progression and you really want to grow and build something, you’ll feel right at home here. We want someone looking to accelerate their legal career. So, if you’re an ambitious, technically strong and intuitive Lawyer who thrives on challenge, then you’ll fit right in - go ahead and apply.
