Employment Solicitor - Lancashire - partnership progression
The firm in question has a number of office throughout Lancashire and whilst your centre of operations would be towards Preston, as you will see, there is a good deal of flexibility that comes with the role that can support home working and other office locations. In fairness, this isn't a home based role nor one which supports a majority leaning in that favour but rather one which will support good flexibility.
The role sits within a good sized employment team but a gap arises at the associate/senior associate level to support a key partner but which will in turn provide a strong path towards partnership.
The work is varied and comprises a range of contentious (increasingly so as the throughput of employment claims increases) and non-contentious advisory work.
Fundamentally there is work to be done so a following is not required. However, there is a real desire to be embedded in their local markets and so invariably, as a prospective partner, you will need to have the desire to do similar and display those traits whether that be in visiting clients or assisting the business in training and presentations.
Given the higher level of work you would be involved in it is anticipated that you will be an employment lawyer with upwards of 4 years PQE, not least, as you will also be expected to help, delegrate and supervise junior lawyers in the team.
This is a firm coming into its own and evolving a strong commercial profile.
If you are an experienced employment lawyer looking for something a bit different then please contact Paul Warburton for a confidential discussion or send your CV to us for consideration.
