Due to continued success, Slater and Gordon wish to appoint an experienced Employment Rights
Lawyer/Solicitor who will be responsible for a varied caseload, working on behalf of our Police
Federation and Trade Union clients. You will be part of a team that have the privilege of working
with and supporting the Trade Union Movement and the people they represent.
You will be passionate about employee rights and will ideally be a claimant solicitor, but applications
will also be considered from respondent solicitors.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly established team of specialists. You will
need to have excellent knowledge of Employment Tribunal rules of procedure and the litigation
process.

Client service is at the heart of Slater and Gordon’s business: We take pride in the quality of
instructions we secure and the unfailing support we provide to our clients. You’ll need talent,
ambition, focus and drive. We’ll also need you to have fantastic organisational skills and attention to
detail.
Duties will include:
• Maintaining and overseeing the file management of a complex, varied caseload of predominantly employment law cases.
• responsible for all aspects of Employment law work including providing top-level technical
expertise and guidance to other team members.
• Providing the highest level of client care, advice and representation to our clients
• Building relationships with internal and external parties
• Dealing with collective and policy matters; including trade union and industrial law, as well as public law and human rights-related employment issues
• Participating, with other fee earners in marketing activities including networking
About you:
• Knowledge and experience within a similar area of Law
• Qualified Solicitor or equivalent
• The ability to successfully manage an individual billing target
• Experience of working to key performance indicators
• A willingness to actively drive and encourage cross referrals
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• An adaptable approach and the ability to foster a culture of positive change
