My client is a prominent and highly-successful Top 200 practice which has grown at a considerable rate over the last few years and which bucks market trends by showing no signs of slowing down! Through a number of lateral hires, office moves and mergers the firm is now established as a leading provider of legal services and an exceptional role has arisen for an experienced employment lawyer who is looking to diversify their experience.

 

The firm is looking to recruit a solicitor of circa 3-7yr PQE who would be interested in joining the firm’s highly-rated education team, which advises a range of schools, academies, trusts, colleges and educational bodies. This will be an exceptional opportunity to advise education clients on employment and staffing matters crucial to the effective running of these various entities, and you will be dealing with both contentious and non-contentious issues such as TUPE, employment contracts and handbooks through to restructuring and advising on discrimination and wrongful dismissal claims.

 

It is not expected that applicants will have previous experience within the education sphere so a good employment ‘all-rounder’ who is happy to handle matters of this nature will be considered, though prior experience of advising clients in similar areas such as charities or other unionised environments will be a real bonus.
