An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Associate to join a well-respected, growing Employment team at the #8 Sunday Times ‘Best Small Company to Work For’.

The team of nine lawyers is consistently listed in Chambers and the Legal 500 and prides itself on its pragmatic and commercial based advice. Clients range from large organisations, well-known regional businesses, fast growing SMEs and some high net worth individuals. The team is mainly focused on providing people solutions to employers.

The team pride themselves on taking the time to get to know each client to offer the best support and tailored advice.

With sound and timely advice, the team are there to ensure early intervention to head off trouble, reduce risk and protect the clients’ interests.

Role and Responsibilites

* Own case-load and client contact time

* The role will be a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters

* General advisory work

* Supervising and developing junior members of the team

* Assisting with business development through building strong client relationships and attending and presenting at networking events

* Supporting senior colleagues on complex matters

* Provide employment support to our corporate, commercial and corporate recovery teams

Experience required

* 3-7 years’ Post Qualification Experience

* Proven experience of working in a busy and credible Employment department

* Able to prioritise and able to think laterally

* Excellent communication skills

* Ability to present confidently

* A proven track record of developing new client relationships and network

* Excellent client care skills

* Be proactive, driven and innovative

This is a full time, permanent role with working hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, with one hour for lunch.
