Position Summary

As a core member of the Global People Team, you are
tasked with helping White & Case translate our business strategy into talent
imperatives that deliver on our vision of profitable growth, engaged people and
outstanding client relationships.

You will lead the talent agenda for your assigned
section/business and support the leadership to develop, engage and progress the
best and brightest employees.

You will work closely with leadership and the employee
base to implement the growth agenda and optimize the size, shape and
utilization (if applicable) of your business segment through recruitment,
talent management, and work allocation.

Equally, you will be an advocate for the employees in
your business(es) to ensure they receive the training, experiences and coaching
they need for progression and continued success in the Firm.

You will help identify issues and opportunities and
take part in designing and implementing section/department/office specific
initiatives and globally aligned programs to drive cultural change and
engagement across the Firm.

You will work collaboratively across the People team
throughout all of the above by sharing best practices, leveraging backgrounds
and skills sets to achieve a cohesive one-team experience.

Duties and Accountabilities

Stakeholder
Management

*

Working
closely with the Regional Section Heads (RSH(s)) and Partners. Demonstrating a
solid understanding of the business requirements, translating and distilling
these into people related priorities.

*

Proactively
monitor business performance and initiate discussions with the relevant
stakeholders, taking action where necessary.

*

Provide
strategic advice across a range of HR issues and opportunities; design and
deliver high impact solutions that meet (and enhance) the needs of the
business.

*

Listen to
opinions, keep abreast of and manage employee relations climate within your
business and across the region. Consult with RSH(s), Department heads, HR
colleagues and General Counsel to advise and implement appropriate actions.

*

Coach and
support stakeholders in their development of people management and leadership
skills.

Talent Management

*

Understand
and apply the Firms career framework to plan for employee pipeline, succession
planning, high performance culture, etc.

*

Meet
regularly with leadership (i.e. RSH(s), department heads and other senior
leaders) to review talent management and development requirements, and assist
in driving any necessary interventions and actions.

*

Support
talent management and people development planning to ensure employees are
on-boarded, resourced, trained, mobilized, seconded and developed in a way that
benefits both the individual and the Firm.

*

Lead and
Manage the Firms Recruitment Authorization process for relevant sections in
EMEA, ensuring business cases are robust and sensible.

*

Understand
and plan for cultural impact across programs and initiatives and understand how
to gain commitment to change from leadership and employees.

*

Demonstrate
and practice a high level of knowledge around talent management and a solid
understanding of technical HR, including local labor and employment laws. Use
talent networks to continuously upskill self and team.

*

Ensure
diversity and inclusiveness is a key consideration across all people related
decisions.

Projects, Policies
& Processes

*

Lead and
support the quarterly headcount management review with the RSH(s), Regional COO
and Regional HRD to ensure timely interventions and that follow up items are
actioned.

*

Drive the
implementation of and participation in Firm wide programs including but not
limited to, performance evaluations, compensation, work allocation, upward
feedback, flexible working, engagement surveys and exit interviews.

*

Achieve
results by utilizing the People team centers of expertise (recruiting,
diversity, mobility, L&D, etc.), shared services and wider support
functions.

*

Proactively
share best practice, intelligence and firm wide programs and activities within
the function and across regional sections.

*

Collaborate
closely with Finance and the Regional COO to understand, manage and analyze
data, providing insights to stakeholders.

*

Contribute to
building and fostering a collaborative, collegial, high performing team
committed to professional excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s
degree required, advanced degree or professional certification preferred.

Professional
services experience desired in a similar role
