Description

As a result of increasing client needs we are looking to appoint a paralegal to handle a mix of non-contentious and contentious corporate and personal insolvency work. Joining a team led by four partners, you'll be supporting a busy team and handle a mixture of work including:

*
Acting for insolvency practitioners in respect of their appointment as administrators/liquidators/administrative receivers/trustee in bankruptcy

*
Drafting administration appointment documentation and assisting in the appointment process

*
Drafting LPA Receiver appointment documentation and assisting in the appointment process

*
Assisting in the disposal of company assets, dealing with property issues, creditor issues and retention of title issues

*
Assisting in carrying out investigations in respect of directors’ conduct and antecedent transactions

*
Assisting in drafting various Court applications and instructions to counsel

*
Carrying out legal research

*
Assisting with drafting Company Voluntary Arrangements and Individual Voluntary Arrangement

*
Assisting with defending director disqualification proceedings

*
Working with private equity providers as well as private individuals, directors, shareholders and creditors

*
Working with banks, asset based lenders and other financial stakeholders

Experience required

Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:

*
Strong academics and ideally at least 6 months Corporate Recovery experience to date with a national firm or recognised regional commercial practice;

*
Experience of taking responsibility for your own matters;

*
High degree of commercial thinking;

*
Excellent organisational skills;

*
Ability to work calmly under pressure and ability to prioritise work load effectively;

*
Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, contacts and internal colleagues;

*
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail;

*
High degree of motivation.

Team Player

*
Keen interest in learning and developing within the role
