Description

As a result of increasing client needs we are looking to appoint Solicitors at NQ-6 years’ PQE to handle a mix of non-contentious and contentious corporate and personal insolvency work. Joining a team led by three partners, you'll handle a mixture of work including:

*
Acting for insolvency practitioners in respect of their appointment as administrators/liquidators/administrative receivers/trustee in bankruptcy

*
Drafting and negotiating sale agreements, dealing with property issues, creditor issues and retention of title issues

*
Assisting clients in the disposal of company assets and carrying out investigations in respect of directors’ conduct and antecedent transactions

*
Making and progressing various Court applications

*
Acting for LPA Receivers

*
Drafting Company Voluntary Arrangements

*
Defending director disqualification proceedings

*
Drafting Individual Voluntary Arrangements

*
Working with private equity providers as well as private individuals, directors, shareholders and creditors

*
Working with banks, asset-based lenders and other financial stakeholders

*
Building client relationships and active role in business development

Experience required

Applicants should possess the following skills and experience:

*
Strong academics including at least 6 months Corporate Recovery experience ideally with a national firm or recognised regional commercial practice;

*
Experience of taking responsibility for your own matters;

*
High degree of commercial thinking;

*
Excellent organisational skills;

*
Ability to work calmly under pressure;

*
Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, contacts and internal colleagues;

*
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail;

*
High degree of motivation.
