The Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and
collaborative professional services marketing team. Over the last
two years the team has doubled in size and now has over 30 marketing
professionals within it across corporate communications, business
development, and marketing communications. The team has played a
central role in the delivery of a number of strategic projects
including a business-wide rebrand, digital transformation project,
CRM implementation and key account management launch. Going forward
the team will be at the heart of a number of projects, campaigns and
marketing activities to help the business grow.

The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, the
Corporate Communications Executive will be expected to maintain the
team's high standards of technical and service excellence. This role
requires the ability to produce a high volume of excellent written
copy often to tight deadlines, project management and excellent
client handling skills in order to:

*
Support the corporate communications team in
delivering the Group's external and some internal communications activity.

*
Assist with the Group's social media and digital communications.

*
Manage administration for the corporate
communications team.

*
Where directed assist the wider marketing team on
joint projects.

Key Skills & Experience

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:

Corporate communications

*
Take briefs, research and draft press releases,
internal news stories, blog posts, thought leadership articles,
news agenda commentary.

*
Maximise their impact in the local, national, trade
and legal press.

*
Developing and drafting submissions in line with the
Group's awards strategy both within our target media and for wider
industry award opportunities

*
Drafting speeches for internal stakeholders for key
external events.

*
Provide PR and media support for marketing, digital
and BD campaigns that run throughout the year

*
Draft copy for corporate advertising when required

*
Provide support copy for client mailings and printed
marketing communication where required.

*
Assist with investor relations work as directed by
the Head of Corporate Communications.

Media relations

*
Maintain and develop good relationships with key
target media liaising with them on a regular basis both in person
and via the telephone and social media.

*
Negotiate placement of press releases, thought
leadership features and comment pieces with key journalists and
hold regular and proactive discussions with them to identify
ongoing news opportunities.

*
Organise and attend media briefings/press events and
relevant networking opportunities.

*
Monitor forward feature lists and secure
opportunities to contribute articles or commentary.

*
Organise press photography and creative photo calls
and draft briefs for photography work.

*
Undertake relevant market research to support
proactive PR activity.

Crisis and issues management

*
ln the event of any potential or breaking crises or
issues, assist the Head of Corporate Communications and Corporate
Communications Manager as directed.

*
This may include press liaison, drafting holding
statements, internal communication messaging and managing social media.

*
On-going monitoring of social and digital media
platforms to identify any potential issues and liaise with the
Head of Corporate Communications and Corporate Communications
Manager to deal with any incidents that may arise.

Internal communications

*
Support the Group internal communications strategy
including feeding into internal publications, video and audio
messages, content for internal conferences and messaging for team briefings

*
Assist when directed by the CCM with research and
edit internal publications and Group-wide communications

*
Support the Corporate Communications team in managing
the content for our workplace delivery platform, FRED/ Sorce.

*
Support the Head of Corporate Communications with the
Group's key internal annual conferences as directed.

Digital communications

*
Help maintain the news page on gateleyplc.com

*
Work with the Digital team to monitor and support the
Group's social media activity, including blogs, LinkedIn and Twitter

*
Adhere to and help implement the Group's social media
policy and guidelines internally.

*
Source and engage with social media influencers,
where appropriate.

Press office responsibilities

*
Attend meetings with key internal stakeholders and
unit / group heads to offer guidance and support and gather
information that can be used for proactive PR and media relations activity.

*
Liaise with third-party suppliers including the
Group's Financial PR agency, design agencies, press monitoring
service provider, photographers and video production companies.

*
Support with the administration for the Corporate
Communications team

*
Support our CSR committee in driving promotion, both
externally and internally of the Group's fundraising and community
relations activity.
