Sellick Partnership are working on behalf of an international energy and utilities company which is leading the way with sustainable energy solutions, who are looking for a Corporate Commercial Solicitor.

Corporate Commercial Solicitor Duties:

  • Providing legal advice in relation to large scale corporate and commercial projects
  • Assisting with partnering, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions including internal reorganisations
  • Supporting with bidding for energy partnerships mainly corporate and commercial partnership with cities
  • Supporting with entry into the market for district heating which will involve commercial or corporate partnering and third-party financing

Requirements of the Energy and Utilities Company

  • You are a UK qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent
  • You have appropriate experience advising on construction and/or commercial arrangements and/or corporate law; mergers and acquisitions; partnering and joint ventures and reorganisations and/or are willing to enthusiastically upskill in these areas
  • You have business acumen with a practical, commercial approach to problem solving
  • You can work independently but are also a reliable team player, with a hardworking approach and flexibility to work to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment
  • You have great interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with business colleagues
  • You have excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • It would also be great if you had experience of the energy industry and supporting large energy infrastructure
