The team

Shoosmiths Private Client Conveyancing Team offers a highly professional conveyancing service designed to make the process of buying or selling property as efficient and stress-free for their clients as possible.

We remain the largest firm of conveyancing solicitors accredited under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme. The conveyancing service provided by our Private Client Practice maintains the same high standards corporate clients have come to expect of Shoosmiths and is consistently commended in national consumer service awards.

This is an exciting time to join our Milton Keynes office. This year we moved in to a flagship building which offers market leading facilities and a fantastic working environment in keeping with our forward thinking, collaborative, agile set-up, The Residential Property team here is Partner led by Karen Stewart and has a mandate to grow and to develop the practice further, particularly through the local region.

The role

In addition to a Conveyancing Manager, we are also looking for an experienced paralegal to join our Residential Property team in Milton Keynes.

You will be assisting the Conveyancing Manager and others with high-quality conveyancing matters, frequently high net worth transactions. You will be confident, a good communicator who thrives on taking on work of this stature and who will take pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

In return we can offer you a rewarding role as part of a small team. You will be one of just a handful of paralegals in this team with a chance to make your contribution felt, develop your skills and show initiative as the team moves forward.

Skills and qualifications

* We are looking for candidates with 12 months prior experience in a conveyancing role.

* You must have a good general knowledge of the conveyancing cycle.

* Be IT literate and to follow the Firm’s policy in this request at all times.

* Excellent customer service expertise

* Excellent written, numeracy and oral communication skills.

* Accuracy and attention to detail.

* Ability to prioritise, be organised and efficient.

* Flexibility with the capability to adapt to change, new practices and cope under pressure but with the ability to recognise when to seek assistance.

* Able to integrate within a team and able to work on your own initiative.

* Friendly and helpful approach.
