Construction Senior Associate

My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join their Construction team in Manchester. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction law, with a particular focus on non-contentious construction and engineering matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on construction contracts and project documentation, including drafting and negotiating contracts, bonds, and guarantees
• Working on a range of procurement routes as well as bespoke agreements
• Providing legal advice and support on construction projects, including procurement, risk management, and dispute resolution
• Assisting with the resolution of construction disputes through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods such as mediation and arbitration
• Supporting clients with the development of project delivery strategies and risk management plans
• Providing training and guidance to junior team members as required

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in construction law
• Strong experience in non-contentious construction and engineering matters
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
