The role A mid-level disputes solicitor is wanted for an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast growing
UK and International Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure disputes practice. The

successful candidate will have in the range of -5 years PQE and be with a recognised

construction disputes group currently. Experience of advising on a wide variety of legal issues

including contentious and non-contentious construction and experience in working across

multiple jurisdictions is essential. Experience in International Disputes is an advantage but not

essential as training will be given. Whilst the successful candidate will be based in London, a

willingness to travel overseas for short periods is a pre-requisite as is an enthusiasm for

business development. We would expect the candidate to have their own network and be

active on the business development front, as well as making other contributions towards the

industry’s area of expertise, i.e. publishing articles.

Attributes / skills required  Ability to acquire, consolidate and apply fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of the law  Good knowledge and understanding of the industry in which the team operates  Experience in a wide variety of construction disputes including breach of contract, defective

deeds and agreements and correspondence to opposing solicitors, the court and clients  Experience of acting on behalf of major infrastructure construction companies  Advising on a wide variety of legal issues, including licencing disputes, legal and equitable

estates, real and intellectual property rights, leasing options and commercial leasing disputes,
insolvency and director related transactions  Enthusiastic  Entrepreneurial  Excellent accuracy and attention to detail  Excellent verbal and numerical communication skills  Organised and able to work to strict deadlines with the ability to prioritise realistically  Good housekeeping/file management practices; manages and records time promptly and
