Registration Desk is the firm's system for registering new clients and matters, including conflict checks, anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance.
AML Regulations implementing the Fourth EU Directive have come into effect in 2017, building on the requirements of the Third EU Directive, requiring enhanced central policies, controls and procedures. This requires increased capacity in the Registration Desk team. Each new Compliance Officer would be potentially involved in conflicts, AML and sanctions work.
These positions are likely to provide the candidates with opportunities to learn and become proficient in areas beyond their current area of expertise. Training will be given in general and/or on Bird & Bird's systems.
