Commercial Solicitor

Leeds

I am working with a Top 200 Commercial practice in Yorkshire who are looking for a junior Commercial Solicitor to join their highly regarded team.

The firm has grown in size and revenue over the last several years and is known as being an excellent place to work where there is a great balance between quality of work and clients and the ability to also have a life outside of it.

The right lawyer will ideally be 1-year PQE, but the Firm will look at junior lawyers from NQ to 3 years. You will be working directly with the Head of the Department who is a Legal 500 rated/listed lawyer and you will deal with the full range of commercial contract matters, including distribution, franchising, service and agency agreements as well as dealing with IT matters such as software licensing and system procurement. There will be elements of GDPR and 'soft' IP work too.

It really is a wide-ranging role acting for a range of clients from household names, to SME's and start-ups across a number of different sectors.

The team is well balanced and there is lots of scope to get involved in great work from the start and with excellent support and guidance, progress in the mid to long term without having to worry about office politics and working in a bottom-heavy large department. You will be able to forge and build relationships with clients and with the right aptitude, really make the role your own.

The culture at the firm is fantastic, with a grown-up and professional attitude to work where the priority is providing a quality service to clients without having an outdated view on hours and a culture of presenteeism.

This is role perfectly suited to those at perhaps a large national or international practice looking for a smaller team with more opportunity to realise a viable career path or perhaps those candidates with great strong academics in a smaller practice who are looking to take a step up.

Salary is competitive and dependent on experience + benefits.

If you would like to hear more about this role please feel free to contact Graham Rawlinson at QED Legal for a no obligation, and completely confidential chat.
