Commercial Property Legal Secretary – Ipswich

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal secretary to work within a busy and thriving Commercial Property department based in Ipswich. Previous experience assisting more than one fee earner in a busy department is essential for this role as the successful secretary will work closely with the Partner and senior fee earners. This is a busy and hands-on role that will require the ability to prioritise and manage own workloads. Duties will include, telephony, diary and meeting management, digital dictation, copy and audio typing, producing and amending legal documentation including letter, emails and forms,  opening and closing files, database management, assisting with time recording and client accounts, and general administration such as filing, photocopying and scanning.

 

The candidate:

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary for at least two years
  • Previous experience with Property Law
  • A fast and accurate typing speed
  • Polite and professional telephone manner
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Previous experience assisting more than one fee earner is essential
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
