My client is a leading regional firm with a leading presence in South Wales. Due to a period of internal growth the client is looking to add a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (4 years PQE+) to their Cardiff team.
The role is for an Associate who will assist in driving forward our Dispute Resolution department and client service offering, as well as providing top-level technical expertise and guidance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious commercial lawyer and strong people manager to further build a dedicated practice area and be instrumental in its future success.
The clients leading international dispute resolution practice handles the full range of high value, complex commercial disputes, including contentious banking and finance matters, insolvency litigation, contentious regulatory investigations, civil and criminal fraud claims and commercial arbitration.
Responsibilities to include;
Maintaining a caseload and overseeing the file management of complex business cases
Collaborating with other senior leaders to ensure that financial targets are met in line with budget planning and forecasting
Working with our fee earning community to manage appropriate caseload levels; type, quantity and complexity
Assisting with the delivery of appropriate learning, coaching and positive development practices where required.
Undertaking regional business development initiatives to help build the practice profile and attract new business.
Complying with National Practice Standards
A key area of growth in the Cardiffl office is the Financial Markets Litigation practice where members of the group work alongside non-contentious and transactional financial market lawyers and have constant exposure to the business of financial institutions.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished Solicitor, and proven manager of multi skilled teams and will possess significant knowledge and experience within the area of Dispute Resolution work to includemediation, arbitration and litigation. They will have the ability to successfully manage an individual billing target, experience of managing budgets, the ability to effectively lead a cohesive team to deliver the highest level of client service and proven experience in all areas of people development and high level performance.
