The firm

Lewis Silkin works with leading businesses to protect and enhance their most important assets — their ideas, their people, their brand and their future. We call it: Ideas. People. Possibilities.

A UK top 75 law firm with offices in London, Oxford, Cardiff, Dublin and Hong Kong, we are recognised by clients and industry alike as being distinct for our unique culture, market-leading practice areas, sector focused approach and for providing solutions to complex, multijurisdictional business challenges, with a pragmatic and human touch. We have two things at our core: people — both ours and our clients’— and a focus on creative, tech and innovative businesses.

Our culture is encapsulated by an ethos of bravery and kindness, guided by our values of Integrity, Clarity, Unity and Excellence (our ‘I-CUE’). We aim to provide a supportive environment for our people, clients and wider community and embrace diversity, ensuring people are able to bring their full selves to work.

The department

Lewissilkinhouse is Lewis Silkin’s flexible resourcing service which provides clients with temporary lawyers and paralegals to cover for absence, busy periods or assist with projects. It was established in 2013 and is one of the first law firms providing an offering of this kind.

We are looking for commercial lawyers to join our Lewissilkinhouse commercial service. Our Lewissilkinhouse lawyers are engaged either as consultants or as employees of the firm on various different types of employment contracts including fixed-term and zero hours employment contracts. They receive a competitive remuneration package. They usually work exclusively at clients’ premises. Placements are generally full time but part time placements do also arise from time to time. Placements are largely based in Central London but can be based elsewhere including Greater London and the M4 corridor.

Many of our clients who use our in-house service are well-known household names across a broad spectrum of industry sectors including media, technology, financial services, energy, automotive, international consulting, retail, FMCG and professional services.
