Commercial Associate (1+ PQE) | Leading National Law Firm | Nottingham

BCL Legal is delighted to be partnering with a prominent national law firm in its search for a talented Commercial Associate to join its thriving Technology & Commercial team, based in Nottingham. This is an outstanding opportunity for a solicitor with 1+ years' PQE to work on cutting-edge commercial and tech projects for high-profile clients across the UK and internationally.

The Role
You'll join a dynamic and forward-thinking commercial team known for its expertise in technology, digital, and data matters. The team works with clients across a range of sectors, including tech, media, retail, life sciences, and public sector bodies.

This role offers:
· Exposure to complex and varied commercial contracts, including IT outsourcing, SaaS agreements, cloud services, licensing, and e-commerce
· A strong focus on data protection, GDPR compliance, and IP matters
· Opportunities to advise on emerging tech issues including AI, fintech, and digital platforms
· Client-facing work, helping to build and maintain key commercial relationships
· Collaboration with colleagues nationally and across other disciplines such as corporate, employment, and dispute resolution

About You
You'll be a qualified solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in commercial or IT law. Newly qualified candidates with strong training seats in commercial contracts or technology law will also be considered.

You will have:
· Experience advising on commercial contracts (technology experience desirable but not essential)
· Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills
· Excellent client care and communication skills
· A commercially minded approach and a desire to work on innovative legal matters
· A proactive mindset and a team-player attitude
